I guess, most of the Malaysian answer is high beam light. Please no offence and take is as compliment, because we are unique. If you driving along the Malaysia highway or any road in Malaysia, then you notice somebody use high beam during a day, please move to the left lane. High beam light is used in Malaysia especially in a day as a hint to notice people ” I own this road, please give me a way!“. Haha
Why we need a hint? Most of the case, your” friend “who are confidently driving speed to 80 km/h(max. 110 km/h) staying on the outest lane ( 3rd lane) . We can only over take a car in highway on the 3rd lane or on the right side. ( Malaysia Law)
Contrast to Singaporean. I live in JB, southern region of Peninsular Malaysia near to Singapore. Most of the Singaporean, use right signal light as a hint. Both have pros and cons.
Sometimes I use Singaporean hint to Malaysian people to test their understanding. Some give a positive respond and some are not. For not, then I discover why. I noticed, blink from the signal itself, not really capturing the front driver compare to high beam. High beam light will reflect to the adjustable back mirror which front driver will notice it in sec. However, it is glaring because of the dazzling light.
If you could share what other countries practice much better for us! Please share and give comment at least we exchange some information here.
Anyway, be good on driving and keep safe!
